Startup competition for students

The Morpheus Cup is the largest European universities and graduate schools’ championship; each year, this unique contest gathers the best European students (and those who have graduated less than a year ago) to compete through innovative projects and a day of themed open-innovation challenges. So far, more than 200 campuses from more than 20 countries have sent teams and/or projects supported by 50 employers and innovative brands.

The Morpheus Prize is an individual or group project/startup competition submitted online on a range of categories (find them here). The top three projects from each category will be invited to pitch in Luxembourg on May 22nd, overall winners of each category will have the chance to pitch again, the same day, in front of renowned professionals. Previous jury members include:

This event has been placed under the patronage of the European Commission since it began. This year, Mr Carlos Moedas support The Morpheus Cup, the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation.

Should students wish to maximize the benefits of the competition, they can sign up to the Morpheus Day to foster their innovation spirit through strategic and operational challenges designed by leading brands and companies. Additionally, Pitch your startup will be held alongside the Morpheus Cup (on May 21st) and is for advanced startups, with €100,000 in prize money (deadline for application is 29th March).
